8 steps to a successful website

Following our proven 8-step process, Fernhart will design and build a fresh look for your business taking into account any existing brand guidelines and employing best practice web processes.

Kick off: An initial meeting with the client to discuss and document goals and objectives and provide an approximate quote for the entire project.
Existing collateral: On being given the go-ahead, we will ask you for those assets needed to develop initial designs, including existing websites, brochures, style guides etc. You will also need to provide us with all images that you want included.
Copy: We can use any existing copy as is, edit it to fit in with your new look and objectives, or ideally we'll write new copy for you from scratch, to make sure it's working as hard as it can to optimise your online presence, and drive sales or response directly from your website.
Initial designs: Fernhart creates two or three homepage design concepts, a site map and content plan for approval. We'll also provide homepage copy if this is required, so you can approve the tone of voice.
Client review: This is your chance to make sure the design is everything you want it to be. Once you've chosen a preferred concept and approved the site map, we can confirm costs.
Design & build: Your chosen design concept is rolled out to every page.
Sign off & testing: Once you've reviewed the site and signed off the copy and design, we will test it and make any final amends in preparation for go-live...
Handover: Fernhart will supply you with complete site files. Of course, we can also provide hosting advice and solutions if you'd like us to.
