The need to update 4C

4C Associates is a procurement solutions company that works closely with global and national organisations to improve their businesses.

Due to the vast amount of information on the previous 4C site the content had become difficult to navigate and the look of the site had become dated.

4C's initial thoughts were to design and build the site themselves, however, Clare Elvy, 4C's Group Marketing Manager, commented "Initially we had planned to do the site in-house but resource and time constraints meant that we needed to seek outside help......and we're delighted that we did."

In December 2007 Fernhart was appointed to work with 4C to redesign their website.

The design process

Over a six week period working closely with Clare Elvy and guided by the 4C branding, Fernhart created an updated look for the site incorporating more images, introducing eye catching and informative charts and most importantly adding a new navigation making the content rich site easier to browse through.

"The team were quick to understand our requirements and use their creative input to make the goal on paper come alive." said Clare Elvy.

On Brand, on budget, on time

Working on a one-to-one basis the project progressed well from the initial design phase to the build of the static html pages.

On completion of testing the fully built site was handed back to 4C for implementation by their IT team.

The site went live in February 2008 and has been very well received both internally and externally.
